Stella B2025-05-29Verified We love the monkeys!!🐒 This experience was amazing!!! My husband (who is obsessed with monkeys) and I loved interacting with the monkeys and getting to feed them. We would definitely do this again!! I also bought some local products. I’m very excited to try them! Zach D2025-05-29Verified Unforgettable Family Fun at Monkeyland! We had an amazing experience visiting Monkeyland with Runners Adventures in the Dominican Republic! The entire day was fun, educational, and perfectly organized. Our guide Carlos was fantastic—engaging, funny, and super knowledgeable. On the way to Monkeyland, we stopped at a coconut house, where Carlos gave us a great tour and explained how cocoa, coffee beans, coconut oil, and cocoa butter are made. We even got to sample hot chocolate (which the kids loved!) and coffee for the adults—it was a really nice touch that made the experience even better. At Monkeyland, Albert and Roy made our visit unforgettable. Albert took awesome family photos, and Roy shared fascinating information about the monkeys while giving us food to feed them. Both were incredibly friendly and made sure everyone in the group had a great time. This was a highlight of our trip. Our young kids had a blast, and we highly recommend this tour to families or anyone looking for a unique, hands-on adventure in the Dominican Republic! Journey566831677592025-05-28Verified Good experience, recommended. It was awesome overall. The time you spend with the monkeys is 30-45 minutes, and that felt like enough for me. At the peak of the 3rd highest mountain on the island as well. They’re awesome, and safe to be around as long as you listen to the rules. The tour of the plantation should be optional but it’s really not that big of a deal. It seems like it’s changed a bit since some of the reviews I read, we are allowed phones with the monkeys. Guides Sammy, Nathan and bus b41 was as good as it gets. But I could see the trip being worse as some reviews stated if you had to ride the open truck. We did not have that problem. We were from Barceló palace resort. Samantha D2025-05-27Verified Sensational!!! While on our Dominican trip we booked for Monkeyland and Plantation. We highly recommend this for anyone of all ages! We had full transportation to and from the hotel. We got to experience the monkeys for over an hour which was the most amazing thing I have ever done. The staff were so kind and gave us all an amazing experience. After the monkeys we went to see the cocoa and coffee making process. We got to taste the chocolate and coffee. Our tour guide was so entertaining and informative. Cannot express how amazing this excursion is! Jen L2025-05-27Verified Fun Day at Monkeyland Such a fun experience. Booked right through their web site. Timely pickup at our hotel. Comfortable ride in air conditioned bus. Juan Cruz (Dominincan Tom Cruz) was knowledgeable and made the 40 ride a fun trip. Je was very safe and reaponsible. Monkey alone would have been worth the cost. But the coffee and chocolate tour made it that much better. Book local, not thru your hotel. You save money and support their economy. Jude P2025-05-27Verified Monkey Land 1hr ride from hotel. Cesar and Angel were amazing. Angel gave us all the back history of DR. He was very attentive and made sure everyone was comfortable. Sara R2025-05-25Verified Sustainable Tourism at its Best The monkeys were SO interactive and adorable! The ride to the sanctuary Eddie gave lots of information about local culture and was clear about instructions the whole time. The demonstration of cocoa, coffee and coconut oil was well done and interesting. Eddie and Leonardo were a great team and I highly recommend this excursion! Miranda W2025-05-24Verified Best excursion yet! We had an amazing experience! The ride through the city to get to monkey land was super informative. Our tour guide Paldorma was so very friendly and knowledgeable he told us a lot about the Dominican culture and explained how they lived. Once arrived at monkey land we learned how chocolate, coffee and coconut oil was made. They let you try fresh coffee, hot chocolate and of course the Mama Juana! They give you the opportunity to buy anything you just saw there to keep the purchases local. Then you go to the monkeys! They explain the monkeys care and life while at the enclosure. It’s a great experience and highly recommend! Ask for Paldorma and have a great time! Jess S2025-05-22Verified Great experience We had a great time at monkey land. Jose Carrasco made the ride to and from very enjoyable and informed us about the culture and the countryside. The staff at Monkeyland and at the plantation were also very helpful and informative! Would recommend. Eric D2025-05-21Verified The ultimate cutest little monkey experience Incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience. If you want to play with the cutest freaking little baby rescue monkeys ever, you need to come here. Only a 10-15 minute drive from the resorts, educational, fairly priced. Plenty of shade, cold drinks, super friendly staff. Photos are expensive, but they are legit professional photos....we're going to get them printed and framed.Load more
